Faculty position in Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at the South University of Science and Technology invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the rank of tenure-track Associate or tenured Full professor in the area of Physical Chemistry (preferably molecular spectroscopy), Structural Chemistry (with profound expertise in X-ray crystallography), Chemical Biology (with an education in chemistry), and Analytical Chemistry (preferably NMR or Mass Spectroscopy). Applicants should have a PhD with demonstrated potential in research and a commitment to teaching. Successful candidates are expected to pursue an active research program, to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses, and to supervise graduate students.
South University of Science and Technology, officially established in April 2012, is a research-intensive public institution funded by the municipal of Shenzhen, a growing international metropolitan neighboring Hong Kong. The University is accredited by the Ministry of Education, China and is a pioneer in higher education reform in China. The teaching language at the University is English or Putonghua. The choice is made by the instructor.
